Paula Waggoner-Aguilar is an award-winning entrepreneur and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Texas CPA, and a former Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 planning, finance, and accounting executive. She has 25+ years helping private and public companies develop, startup and/or launch new services or product lines, grow, change, and revitalize their investments in:

Paula works as the CEO and Managing CFO of The Healthcare CFO and its parent company,  The Energy CFO® (established 2013). Both firms offer CFO Advisory and Consulting services to help private companies in healthcare and energy sectors accelerate their growth and take them to the next level. These bolt-on virtual CFO services are designed to wrap around and complement your monthly accounting and tax compliance services. Our team works very closely with your bookkeeping, accounting team, and CPA firms.

Most clients begin their service by having Paula and her team analyze and review their organization’s financial health and business performance with them. As part of this review, Paula generally offers recommendations, talks through your business plan and current strategy, and Paula and her team can create budgets and build forecasts if needed. In addition, our CFO team can dig into any number of issues you would like us to including profit margins, revenue management, cash flow management, internal controls, finance digitalization and looking for automation opportunities, etc.
